T-Mobile

T-Mobile offers WCDMA (UMTS) with HSPA+ 3G voice and data over most of their network, using the 1700 MHz (AWS) and 1900 MHz (PCS) bands. Their 4G LTE network also uses the 1700 MHz (AWS) band. They also offer GSM/EDGE 2G service in the 1900 band. In 2013, they purchased MetroPCS and started merging networks, although the brands and phone lineups will remain separate for some time. Germany's Deutsche Telekom AG bought VoiceStream in June 2001 and re-branded it T-Mobile USA in the 2nd half of 2002. T-Mobile is Deutsche Telekom's global wireless brand. T-Mobile USA was the first company to offer a nationwide GSM network in the United States.
